KINGS FAMILY RESTAURANT CELEBRATES ITS GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY
PITTSBURGH, PA – October 31, 2017- This November 2017, Kings Family Restaurant is celebrating 50 years strong in Western PA. Its remarkable history of comfort foods, celebrations and community spirit is unprecedented in this market. Today, Kings looks to “warm up” to the next generation of customers and finds strength in the local growing restaurant scene.
Warm cinnamon rolls, ice cream, famous chili and hot roasted turkey sandwiches are the foods that made Kings famous. The chain will keep with its signature foods but introduces a new 50th menu. Younger guests, those perhaps on date night, may be enticed with trendier foods like craft burgers, pretzel bites, spinach artichoke dip and chips, and bourbon glazed salmon.
Kings is planning celebrations for its 50 years of service to the community with many exciting events throughout the next year. It all kicks off with a golden anniversary party at its flagship location on Lincoln Highway in North Versailles on Saturday, November 4th. Star Pittsburgh 100.7 FM, prizes, airbrush tattoos, balloon artist for younger guests and more are scheduled from 10 AM – 1 PM.
“As Kings celebrates and reflects on its 50th anniversary, we also look forward to an exciting future. Come celebrate with us November 4th and 5th,” said Nick Hrehovchak. “We want to show our appreciation to each guest for making us a great.”
At all 25 locations, on November 4th, Kings is offering guests a buy-one-get-one free breakfast, lunch or dinner. See locations for details. Then on Sunday November 5th, the first 50 guests will receive a slice of Kings Famous Apple Pie & Cinnamon Ice Cream for free, and then just 50 cents all day.
“Kings is a group of dedicated people that are grateful for the support of the community and we will always be a group that pays it forward,” said Hrehovchak. In October, Kings employees and customers fundraised for the American Cancer Society, and Kings presented to the Mario Lemieux Foundation a $10,000 fundraising donation to benefit the Austin’s Playroom Military Project initiative.
